A grant is an amount of money that an organization or the federal government gives a person for a specific purpose that need not be paid back. Personal grants are those that are given to meet the costs of having repair work done to your home, shifting your home from one place to another, to pay for different utilities, mortgages, education and medical bills or maybe even to start a small business. Personal grants are awarded to senior citizens to meet the costs of their needs, as well as to low income families who do not get sufficient income. The government and several organizations have huge amounts in reserves to provide personal grants to their citizens.
